Weitz Funds Launches Institutional Share Classes for Weitz Value Fund and Weitz Partners Value Fund

OMAHA, Neb.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Weitz Investment Management, Inc. today announced that the firm has launched Institutional Share Classes for Weitz Value Fund and Weitz Partners Value Fund. The new share classes were added to the funds to provide investment opportunities for institutional entities at lower expense ratios than investor class shares.

The new ticker for Weitz Value Fund's Institutional Share Class is WVAIX, and the new ticker for Weitz Partners Value Fund's Institutional Share Class is WPVIX.

The Institutional Share Class is available to all investors with an initial minimum investment of $1,000,000 per fund account. The same investment strategy, research team, investment process and portfolio holdings are employed regardless of share class. The Institutional Share class is designed to be operated at a lower total expense ratio than the Investor Share Class.
