TiVo: "I'd Like to Thank the Academy..."

SAN JOSE, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 08/14/14 -- TiVo Inc. (NASDAQ: TIVO), a leader in advanced television entertainment, today announced that the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) has awarded both TiVo and subsidiary Digitalsmiths an Emmy® Award for their role in shaping the next generation of home entertainment. TiVo was recognized for Television Enhancement Devices and Digitalsmiths for Personalized Recommendation Engines for Video Discovery for Multichannel Video Programming Distributors (MVPDs). The 2014 honors mark the fifth and sixth Emmy® Awards for TiVo Inc.

TiVo was acknowledged by NATAS for bridging the "traditional" TV experience with premium non-linear content delivered over the Internet via the TiVoCast™ platform. TiVoCast was the first mass-market Internet-delivered television service that allowed consumers to record web video content from such partners as Amazon, CNET and The New York Times the same way that TiVo recorded and played traditional TV content to the television screen.

Digitalsmiths' Emmy® Award recognizes the success of the company's Seamless Discovery® product, including its status as North American MVPD's most-adopted personalized video search and recommendation platform.
