By Mary Shanklin, Orlando Sentinel

Aug. 14--CNL Lifestyle Properties, a real estate investment trust for "lifestyle" properties, reported earnings and revenue increases for the second quarter, a new report shows.

Total revenues increased 10.1 percent, or $11.4 million, in the second quarter from the second quarter of last year. And net losses declined 84 percent, or by $46.7 million. Another key measure -- funds from operations -- increased 17 percent, or by $4.4 million.

The trust reported that its ski and mountain properties showed revenue growth due to favorable late-season conditions. In addition, early-season marketing efforts drove increases in season pass sales.
