Australia : VOCUS COMMUNICATIONS to acquire BENTLEY DATA CENTRE for AUD 11.7 mln

Australian and New Zealand wholesale IP transit and voice supplier Vocus Communications will be acquiring the Bentley Data Centre from IT services provider ASG Group.

The acquisition is worth AUD 11.7 million and will be funded from Vocus existing cash resources.

This acquisition is expected to generate annualised EBITDA of around AUD 2 million and be EPS accretive during the first year.

Location of the Bentley Data Centre is at around 4km from Vocus existing Perth data centre and was opened in 2011. It presently serves Australian mining and utilities companies under long term contracts.

Under this acquisition, Vocus will also be a preferred supplier to ASG who is also a tenant of the data centre providing hosting services to its managed services clients, for all telecommunications services both locally in Perth and all over Australia.
