United States : CORPORATE Risk Systems purchased by Henderson Insurance

Henderson Insurance Brokers has improved its risk management and training capabilities with the purchase of Staffordshire-based Corporate Risk Systems Ltd for an unrevealed amount.

The health and safety training and consultancy services provider has been combined with Henderson Risk Management, creating an enlarged business trading under the CRS brand with headquarters in Leeds.

CRS as risk managers offers a variety of services to brokers, insurers and their clients, including retained adviser services, renewal surveys and project management.

Joe Henderson, Henderson Insurance Brokers chief executive, said: The purchase has given us access to many more advisers, increased the training and risk assessment products and services we can offer and underpins the activities of our risk managers and safety consultants.

The new CRS business has approximately 40 staff, counting 30 employees who have come from CRS, and will be run by CRS managing director Stephen Asbury.

Henderson in a separate deal has in addition selected general insurance company Hall Rhodes as an authorised representative.

Leeds-based Hall Rhodes, will place insurance, claims, risk management and credit guarantees helped by Henderson, which will deal with any regulatory issues.
