SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE This is a Sources Sought Notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The Department of Defense (DOD), Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), Acquisition Directorate (AD) is seeking small business firms under NAICS Code 511210 that, if any, can provide Splunk Software Licenses, Support, and Training, or an equal non-developmental software that can meet the following features and capabilities: -Collects, indexes, and harnesses any machine data whether physical, virtual, or in the cloud containing a definitive record including but not not limited to user transactions, customer and machine behavior, security threats, and fraudulent activity. -Consolidates and logs all entries into a single location unrestricted by log or event format. -Functions across heterogeneous environments on commodity hardware while enabling precise speedy data searching to produce Operational Intelligence. -Allows log retrieval from massive data sets within seconds based on keyword searches. -Maintains a history of every log sent to allow the system administrator to conduct continuous ad-hoc investigations or historical analysis based on time. -Alerts system administrator(s) with errors and other issues as they occur in real time (via snmp, email, RSS, Custom Script). -Stores and compresses IT data in its original format at a rate of 3,000 messages per second without a relational database.
