Henderson Value Trust's NAV Total Return Underperforms Benchmark

LONDON (Alliance News) - Henderson Value Trust PLC Wednesday said its net asset value total return rose marginally over the last four months, but significantly underperformed its benchmark.

The company's strategic aim is to provide long-term growth to shareholders via a diversified, international, multi-strategy portfolio which also offers access to specialist funds including hedge and private equity.

The trust said its NAV total return in the four months to July 31 rose only 0.2%, compared with its benchmark - FTSE World Index - which rose 2.4%.

Its share price total return over the period rose 2.1%.

Shares in the trust were up 1.2% at 246.25 pence Wednesday afternoon.
