BRIEF: Today's Music Picks: Lynyrd Skynyrd visits Warfield, Mountain Winery

Aug. 13--Lynyrd Skynyrd has so much more to offer than just "Free Bird." The group has a whole trunkful of classic-rock anthems -- such as "Sweet Home Alabama," "Gimme Three Steps" and "Saturday Night Special" -- which it will surely unload during its two Bay Area shows. The legendary Southern rock act performs Saturday at the Warfield in San Francisco. Show time is 8 p.m. and tickets are $62.50-$124.50, Lynyrd Skynyrd also plays Sunday at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga. Show time is 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $59.50-$149.50,

**Aerosmith certainly qualifies as one of the most successful bands of all time, having reportedly sold some 150 million records worldwide during a career that now stretches five decades. Its best studio work came way back in the '70s, yet Aerosmith remains a powerful act on the live stage. The group performs Wednesday at the Concord Pavilion. Slash, the guitarist who fashioned the immortal riffs on Guns N' Roses' finest songs, is also on the bill. Show time is 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $48.50-$234,
