Berry Plastics Group, Inc. Announces Secondary Public Offering

(NYSE: BERY) (the "Company") announced the commencement of a secondary public offering of 14,728,218 shares of the Company's common stock by certain funds affiliated with Apollo Global Management, LLC (collectively, the "Selling Stockholders"). The Company itself is not selling any shares and will not receive any proceeds from the proposed offering, and it will not change the number of shares of the Company's common stock that are currently outstanding. The underwriter may offer the shares of Company common stock in transactions on the New York Stock Exchange, in the over-the-counter market, through negotiated transactions or otherwise at market prices prevailing at the time of sale, at prices related to prevailing market rates or at negotiated prices.
