Aug. 12--The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame rock band Heart is coming to El Paso, organizers announced today.

The group, featuring the incredibly talented sisters Ann Wilson (lead singer) and Nancy Wilson (guitarist), will take the Abraham Chavez Theatre stage at 7:30 p.m.Oct. 19, according to El Paso Live officials.

Tickets, which will cost $65, $75 and $95 (VIP passes), will go on sale at noon Friday and will be available at the Plaza Theatre Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 800-745-3000 and online at

The Wilson sisters first showed the world that women can rock when Heart stormed onto the charts in the 1970s with hits like "Crazy on You," "Magic Man," "Barracuda," "Straight On," just to mention a few. They not only led the band, but wrote the songs and played several instruments, making them the first women in rock to do so.

Heart continued to top the charts in the 1980s and 90s with hits like "These Dreams," "Alone," "What About Love," "If Looks Could Kill," "Never" and a string of other popular songs.

Nearly 35 years after their first big hit, the sisters were back on Billboard's Top 10 charts with the album, "Red Velvet Car," along with a top five DVD, in 2010.

They have also had success as individuals, including Ann Wilson's hits "Almost Paradise," "Best Man in the World" and "Surrender to Me," while Nancy Wilson has composed and performed the scores to half a dozen motion pictures, including the award-winning "Jerry Maguire" and "Almost Famous."

Heart, which has sold more than 35 million albums, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.
