BRIEF: O'Maley hosting summer 'Reading Rally' Wednesday

August 12, 2014

Gloucester Daily Times, Mass.

Aug. 12--O'Maley Innovation Middle School and the Sawyer Free Library are offering the chance for students to share the successes and questions over their summer reading.

They're hosting what's being billed as a Reading Rally, slated for Wednesday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the O'Maley school library.

The program aims to be a casual drop-in gathering for any and all O'Maley students to come in and celebrate their summer reading, while also getting the chance to receive help, check in with what they've done, or to share book talk and ideas with their fellow students.

The rally is being presented by the library and O'Maley's English Language Arts teachers -- and, yes, pizza, popcorn, packets and books will all be available.

Any students or parents planning to attend are asked to call the school before Wednesday, at 978-281-9850.
