Croatia seeks investments from Prince Alwaleed

Aug. 12--RIYADH -- President Ivo Josipovic of Croatia hosted a luncheon in the presidential summer residence the city of Makarska in honor of Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC) and the prince's accompanying delegation.

During the luncheon, Prince Alwaleed cordially thanked Josipovic for his invitation.

The discussions touched upon political, cultural, social and economic activities and various general issues especially in business and investments arena.

Prince Alwaleed held a press conference in the presence of President Ivo Josipovic.

Prince Alwaleed has also received an invitation from the president to invest in Croatia.

Josipovic commended Prince Alwaleed on his efforts on the business and philanthropic front, describing the prince as one of the largest and most influential global investors and global philanthropic supporter.

In turn, Prince Alwaleed commended on the development of Croatia and promised to study the prospects of cooperation between KHC and Croatia.

Prince Alwaleed's accompanying delegation included: Turki Alshabanah, president of Rotana TV Channels, Nahla Nasser Alanbar, private executive assistant to the chairman, Hani Agha, senior manager travel and external affairs and Fahad bin Saad bin Nafel, executive assistant to the chairman.

Also during an earlier visit to Croatia, Prince Alwaleed met with Milan Bandic, mayor of Zagreb. at the city hall.

Both discussed economic and social issues.
