Findings on Bone Research Detailed by C.P. Liu and Co-Authors (Preparation and protein sustained release characteristic of calcium titanate nano-fibre)

By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Health & Medicine Week -- Investigators publish new report on Bone Research. According to news originating from Yibin, People's Republic of China, by NewsRx editors, the research stated, "A hydrothermal synthesis method was used to prepare calcium titanate nano-fibre (CTNF) for bone drug protein sustained release. The X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectrum have been used to investigate microstructure and morphology of the materials."

Our news journalists obtained a quote from the research, "Subsequently, adsorption characteristic of calcium titanate nano-fibre, including the amount and influencing factors for adsorption, was investigated. The data in vitro release process of bovine serum albumin on calcium titanate nano-fibre were measured. The results show that the calcium titanate nano-fibre prepared with hydrothermal synthesis method has nice crystal form and high purity. The CTNF can be used as a carrier for the anti-bone tissue infection because of its protein adsorption and release capacity."

According to the news editors, the research concluded: "The ions, such as Ca2+, Na+ and PO43-, have a great influence on protein adsorption and release capacity of this material."
