When a child dreams

‘When a child dreams’, a painting exhibition having works of children, kicked off here at Zahoorul Akhlaq Art Gallery of National College of Arts (NCA).

The exhibition, organised by Kids Club, was inaugurated by NCA Principal Dr Murtaza Jafri. The principal took round and visited all arts works by the children. The art works displayed on the occasion are titled ‘Space and underwater panel’, ‘Peace collage’, ‘Figure abstraction panel’, ‘Art and craft collage’, ‘Painting and drawing collage, ‘Starry night’, ‘My home’, ‘I scream, you scream’ and ‘Thousand eyes’. On the occasion, the principal lauded the effort of Kids Club and suggested such activity should be in public sector institution also. He said the art works created by the children were in a wide range which depicted their hidden talents.

The art works were produced by children ageing 3-14 years. Paintings and drawings of the children were displayed in the exhibition. Some sculptures were also displayed on the occasion. Children explored a wide variety of media while creating these art pieces. Kids Club was established five years back and its mission is to provide an educational, creative, active and fun experience for kindergarten through sixth grade children.
