July 8, 2014

Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has called for revising banks timings as 10 am to 3.30 pm during Ramazan-ul-Mubarak.

The current banking hours are from 8 am to 1.30 pm.

President KCCI Aamir Abdullah Zaki has urged the Governor, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) to revise the existing Ramazan timings of banks to facilitate the business community, said KCCI statement here on Monday.

The people associated with trade and industry are facing problems due to short banking hours during the holy month of Ramazan-ul-Mubarak.

He said, it is a well-known fact that business activities in almost all commercial markets of the city start at 12 pm.

Whereas the commercial banks wrap up banking services at 1:30 pm which leaves very little time for the traders do important financial transactions. This usually results in postponing many transactions.
