Ford and Zogenix are big market movers

NEW YORK (AP) Stocks that moved substantially or traded heavily Tuesday on the New York Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq Stock Market:

NYSE

Ford Motor Co., down 21 cents to $17.11

Citing a driveshaft problem that could lead to "the loss of drive function," the automaker recalled 92,000 crossovers and sedans.

Guess Inc., up $1.06 to $28.45

Piper Jaffray upgraded the apparel company, seeing a long-awaited recovery in the southern European market starting to take hold.

Delta Air Lines Inc., down 46 cents to $36.44

A fight with Venezuela over revenue trapped in that country prompted the carrier to cut service there by 85 percent next month.

Edison International, up 83 cents to $56.72

Major U.S. markets are sliding for a second day and investors again clamored for traditionally stable shares of utility companies.

Nasdaq

Zogenix Inc., down 27 cents to $1.86

The FDA granted priority review for a tamper-resistant painkiller from Purdue Pharma, a threat to the drugmaker's Zohydro pill.

Groupon Inc., down 17 cents to $6.28

Analysts with B. Riley issue an upgrade for the online coupon company, seeing easier comparisons to last year and fatter margins.

Shire, down $4.47 to $233.00

U.S. pharmaceutical AbbVie boosted its takeover bid to about $51.3 billion after three rejections from the rare drug maker.

The Fresh Market Inc., down 74 cents to $31.93

Rising meat prices and a more competitive environment for specialty grocers will pressure company shares, Goldman Sachs believes.
