July 08--Rock and Roll guitarist Carlos Santana is headed to West Texas for a concert at 7:30 p.m.Sept. 28 at the Wagner NoËl Performing Arts Center. For 40 years and as many albums later, Santana has sold more than 100 million records and reached more than 100 million fans at concerts worldwide. To date, Santana has won 10 Grammy awards and three Latin Grammy awards. He won a record-tying nine Grammy awards for a single project for 1999's "Supernatural" including Album of the Year and Record of the Year for "Smooth."
He has also received the Billboard Century Award (1996), was ushered into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998, and received the Billboard Latin Music Awards' Lifetime Achievement honor in 2009. On December 8, Santana was the recipient of the 2013 Kennedy Center Honors.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday and range from $82.50 to $202.50 and can be purchased online or at the box office, which is open from noon to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
