Train PRB and Contract personnel in use of software and statistical programs relevant to PRB goals, etc. TJP Software has been providing part time computer services/consulting in support of the PRB computer network, hardware and databases. TJP shall furnish all necessary personnel for the performance of the SOW of this procurement. TJP shall be available for meetings and telephone consultations relevant to the scope of the SOW. The PRB has its own network, servers, storage, tape backups and other infrastructure. The PRB has highly technical requirements to accommodate the storage of ultrasound images, interface with the hospitals electronic medical records, coordination of clinical and specimen databases, computer support for lab equipment and general desktop support for all the PRB computers. Since we are off NIH campus, all of these services are procured from vendors in a close proximity to the PRB. Given the complexity of the existing network and infrastructure and the vendor's already established technical relationships with Wayne State University and Detroit Medical Center (where the PRB is housed), it would require significant time, effort and expense before another vendor could be in a position to provide these services and resulting in a duplication of work/effort. This situation could lead to delay of services and could cause PRBs work stoppage/delay on certain programs or research.
