July 06--Triple-A Rochester right-hander Trevor May might not make an appearance at the mound when the All-Star Futures Game is played July 13 at Target Field.

May has not pitched in a game since he was placed on the seven-day disabled list, retroactive to June 26, after a right calf strain in his last start on June 21. On Sunday before the Twins' series closer with the New York Yankees, general manager Terry Ryan expressed uncertainty of May's availability at next weekend's showcase.

"I don't want to do something to set him back, I can tell you that," Ryan said.

In his last 10 starts with Rochester, the 6-foot-5, 24-year-old posted a 7-3 record and a 2.35 earned-run average.

May was picked as one of three prospects to represent the organization on Team USA, to be managed by former Twins manager Tom Kelly. The others are Double-A New Britain first baseman Kenny Vargas and Class A Fort Myers right-hander J.O. Berrios.
