Ghana : VIVO ENERGY, BOSCH strike PAN-AFRICAN deal

The distributor and marketer of Shell-branded products in 16 African markets, Vivo Energy, and Bosch, the German major engineering and automotive aftermarket provider, have reached a pan-African deal to boost both companies' presence in offering services to their expanding customer base.

Vivo Energy runs over 1,430 Shell branded service stations in Africa and seeks to be the most respected energy firm in the region. Bosch' automotive aftermarket division offers 16,500 Bosch service partners and innumerable independent workshops in 150 countries with a full range of diagnostic and repair shop equipment and a vast range of spare parts.

This partnership will allow Vivo Energy and Bosch to combine their respective expertise in the fields of automotive spare parts and services, and retail distribution of oil products.

The automotive aftermarket arm of Bosch Middle East and Africa will distribute commodities like batteries, filters, wiper blades and spark plugs, and quick service test equipment including air conditioning and battery tester/chargers to chosen Shell service stations run by Vivo Energy.

Additionally, Bosch will market the Bosch Car Service (BCS) or Express Car Service (ECS) concepts at chosen Shell service stations.

Executive Vice President Supply & Marketing at Vivo Energy, David Mureithi, said : "This partnership confirms Vivo Energy's objective to continuously bring innovative solutions to our growing number of customers.
