United States : HANNON ARMSTRONG agreed to finance a solar lease project of $44.5m

Hannon Armstrong Infrastructure Capital Inc., the Annapolis-based sustainable infrastructure business, has decided to provide financial supports to a solar lease program with an estimated outlay $44.5 million.

Hannon Armstrong, which carries out debt and equity investments in sustainable infrastructure development projects, will be delivering the funds for a project of SunPower Corp.

With this funding from the Annapolis firm, the San Jose, California-based SunPower will be able to leverage current lease assets and widen the program as well as reinforce its accounts, according to the officials. The lease program is joined by over 20,000 residents in the US.

SunPower is involved in the manufacturing and supply of solar panels for serving residential, business and utility customers.
