Tokyo stocks fall in morning on big losses on Wall St.

Tokyo stocks fell Friday morning as investor sentiment was dented by big losses on Wall Street overnight.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average shed 52.26 points, or 0.33 percent, from Thursday to 15,568.51. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 5.95 points, or 0.46 percent, at 1,283.47.

Major decliners included consumer finance, metal products and insurance shares.
