BRIEF: Great Adventure Gospel Band performing

July 31, 2014

Fergus Falls Daily Journal, Minn.

July 31--Since 2008, David and Kris Garms and six of their eight children have performed at many different venues in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Nebraska and Iowa. Singing hymns and Southern Gospel classics around the piano in the living room led to the release of their 2011 debut CD, Thank You, Lord. This family band plays a wide variety of instruments: guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, dobro, upright bass, harmonica, piano and more. At a Great Adventure Gospel Band concert, you never k now what surprise may await you. Who knows? They might all switch instruments with each other! They love to sing as a team and their joy as family overflows as they sing and play together.

The Garms Family is passionate about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and they enjoy sharing the message with young and old, wherever they go. As a fun-loving traditional family, Great Adventure Gospel Band loves to sing and play gospel music, including bluegrass, Southern gospel and traditional hymns.

A free will love offering will be taken at the concert for the Garms Family. Everyone is welcome.

The event is Sunday, Aug. 3 at 6:30 p.m. at Basswood Baptist Church, 38188 340th St., Richville, Minn. Call 218 495-3771 for more information.
