The Carrier/Service Provider Forum at Interop New York will explore how the convergence of Carrier Ethernet 2.0, software defined networking, and virtualization technologies is driving this transformation, promising to unleash a new wave of service innovation that will help fuel productivity gains for the digital enterprise.

According to a media release, the Forum, open to all qualified carrier/service provider attendees and interested enterprise IT experts, will take place during Interop New York on Wednesday, October 1 from 1:30 to 4 pm.

Stan Hubbard, Director of Communications and Research for the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF), will moderate a panel of carrier experts as they detail the future of the services and networking landscape and discuss a host of new digital enterprise-friendly service capabilities that are emerging in the market. Forum speakers will also examine new service and security demands as a wide range of connected devices, intelligent control systems, and sensors increasingly automate our lives.

"Service providers are an integral group within the Interop New York community," said Interop General Manager Jennifer Jessup. "By partnering with the MEF, the industry's defining body for Carrier Ethernet services, Interop is able to present valuable content around new trends within carrier infrastructure and service offerings."
