Thursday's ETF Movers: KRE, XLU

In trading on Thursday, the SPDR S&P Regional Banking ETF (KRE) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 1.4% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of Western Alliance Bancorp (WAL), up about 2.8% and shares of East West Bancorp (EWBC), up about 2.8% on the day.

And underperforming other ETFs today is the Utilities Select Sector SPDR Fund ETF (XLU), down about 1.1% in Thursday afternoon trading. Among components of that ETF with the weakest showing on Thursday were shares of Public Service Enterprise Group (PEG), lower by about 2.2%, and shares of Teco Energy (TE), lower by about 1.9% on the day.
