Erie-area fireworks for July 4 weekend

July 03--Here's a list of some Fourth of July fireworks displays from around the area:

Thursday

Albion Borough Park: Albion Fire Department will host a pig roast at 5 p.m. Cost for the event, which also features live music, is $10 for adults, $8 for children 12 and under. Fireworks display at 10 p.m.

Waldameer Park and Water World: Free fireworks display at dusk. Those younger than 20 not with a parent must have a Ride-A-Rama to enter.

Jerry Uht Park: Special fireworks display after the game, which will start at 7:05 p.m.

Justus Park, Oil City, Venango County: The Jolly July Third festivities start at 4 p.m.; live music starts at 6:30 p.m.; a fireworks display at dusk.

Friday

Lawrence Park Township: Fourth of July parade starts at 2 p.m.; live entertainment, starting at 7 p.m., at the Iroquois High School football stadium, 4301 Main St.; and a fireworks display at dusk.

Findley Lake, N.Y.: Fireworks display over the lake begins at 10 p.m.; "Flares Around the Lake" begins at 9:30 p.m.

Franklin, Riverfront Park: "Thunder over Franklin" at dusk.

Bemus Bay Pops, Bemus Bay, N.Y.: The Dina Preston Band will perform at 8 p.m. (tickets are $20 per seat), followed by a free fireworks display at 9:30 p.m.

Raceway 7, Conneaut, Ohio: Fireworks display at intermission. Gates open at 5, racing starts at 7:30. Admission is $5 for kids 7-14, $10 for adults, free for kids 6 or younger.

Lakewood, N.Y.: Summerfest events at Hartley Park. Music by Smokehouse 7-10 p.m., fireworks display at 10 p.m.

Saturday

Lake Erie Speedway, intersection of Interstate 86 and Route 89 in Greenfield Township: Fireworks display following the final feature event of the evening.

Canadohta Lake, Crawford County: Bike parade starts at 11 a.m. (registration at 10:30 a.m.) at Elmwood Beach. Boat parade starts at 2 p.m. at the Frog Pond. Fireworks display over the lake at dusk.

Conneaut Lake Park: Free fireworks display at 10 p.m.

Pymatuning State Park, Jamestown dam: Free fireworks display at dusk.

Betts Park, Warren: Fourth of July events -- including vendors, rides, crafts, kids activities, music and more -- take place Friday through Sunday; fireworks display Saturday at 10 p.m.

Stateline Speedway, Busti, N.Y.: "Papa" Don Frank Memorial, regular racing card and fireworks. Gates open at 5 p.m., first heat at 7 p.m. Adult entry fees start at $12.
