BRIEF: Hanover Twp. loan company plans to add 100 positions

July 03--Navient, the loan-services company that split from Sallie Mae in April, will hold a job fair Wednesday for applicants interested in 100 new full-time jobs in Hanover Township.

The company plans to add 100 full-time employees to its workforce by the end of the year. Available jobs are for customer-service and collections representatives, loan-servicing specialists, business coordinators and managers.

Interested applicants are encouraged to bring a resume to the job fair and be prepared for a possible first interview. The job fair is from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, at the Navient facility, 220 Lasley Ave., Hanover Township.

Navient currently employs roughly 1,050 employees at the 133,000-square-foot facility in the Hanover Industrial Park. Employees there service millions of student loans and process payments.

Employment at the Hanover Township facility is expected to increase to 1,277 by the end of 2015, spokeswoman Nikki Lavoie said.
