July 29, 2014

Erie Times-News, Pa.

July 29--CONNEAUT LAKE -- Plans to revitalize Conneaut Lake Park will be presented to the public during a meeting at the Conneaut Lake Fire Hall Wednesday at 6 p.m.

The Economic Progress Alliance of Crawford County proposes paying off park's debts within four years and building a performing arts center, exposition center, Beach Club and other amenities there.

But the Conneaut School District, Sadsbury Township and Summit Township have voted to proceed with a sheriff's sale of the property to recoup more than $900,000 in back taxes owed to them and to Crawford County.

County commissioners will host Wednesday's public information meeting. Commissioners have not yet voted to support or reject the revitalization plan.
