July 27--CHAMBERSBURG -- Chambersburg Community Theatre has already auditioned for its first season show in the 2014-15 performance season.

The Agatha Christie mystery "Black Coffee" will open the season Sept. 19-21 and 26-28 at Capitol Theatre, 159 S. Main St.

Tickets for season shows are $18 for adults, $13 for ages 13 through college age with ID and $8 ages 12 and younger.

Tickets are available online at www.cctonline.org or call the box office at 263-0202.

An additional service fee of $2 for each ticket will apply.

Plot

CCT's production of "Black Coffee" will be directed by Tom Amick.

In the spring of 1934, Hercule Poirot is summoned to Surrey by England's most prominent physicist, Sir Claud Amory. Amory fears that someone in his household is attempting to steal his latest discovery, a formula critical to England's defense. Poirot, with Captain Hastings at his side, rushes to Surrey but arrives too late. Amory has died, his formula is missing, and anyone in this country house, full of relatives and guests, could have been responsible.

November

CCT's 61st season continues Nov. 15-23 with the musical "Meet Me in St Louis," based on "The Kensington Stories" by Sally Benson and the MGM motion picture "Meet Me in St. Louis," with songs by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane and book by Hugh Wheeler.

Vicki Gontz will direct, with musical direction by Stephanie Salisbury.

Auditions are scheduled for Aug. 24 and 25. A sensory sensitive performance is being planned which will allow anyone with sensory related issues to enjoy a show in a non-threatening environment.

Due to contract, seating is limited to 350 for all performances.

March

A light note in the season is the Neil Simon comedy "Jake's Women," to run March 13-22.

Jake, a novelist who is more successful with fiction than real life, faces a marital crisis by daydreaming about the women in his life. The comic and sometimes moving flashbacks played in his mind are interrupted by visitations from actual females from his past and present. Directed by Laura J. Martin, auditions are scheduled for Jan. 4 and 5.

May

The season ends with "Guys and Dolls," a musical fable of Broadway based on a story and characters of Damon Runyon, with music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows.

Kelly Kozlowski will direct, with musical direction by Valerie Merriman.

Performances run May 8-17. Due to contract regulations, seating is limited to 350 for all performances.

Auditions are scheduled for Feb. 28 and March 1.
