“We are thrilled to have Wells Fargo serve as corporate chair for this year’s National Convention. Our alliance was born out of the idea that transforming small businesses is an essential building block for transforming our communities, our cities, and our nation as a whole,” said USHCC President & CEO Javier Palomarez. “With Wells Fargo at the helm, this year’s National Convention is poised to be transformative, one that will be a boon to Utah and to all who participate.”

Signature events of the USHCC National Convention include the Million Dollar Club (MDC), which recognizes companies that invest $25 million to $1 billion in Hispanic-owned businesses; the HBE Elite Luncheon, which pays tribute to the largest Hispanic Business Enterprises (HBE) in America; the ERG Summit, the only event of its kind which brings together the Employee Resource Groups (ERG) of over 100 corporations looking to increase diversity, develop talent, and recruit the best and brightest employees; and the CEO Panel, a candid, revealing, and informative discussion about management style, leadership philosophy and the economic outlook in today’s global market.

“Wells Fargo is excited to again serve as corporate chair for the upcoming USHCC National Convention and our team looks forward to welcoming everyone to Salt Lake City,” said Greg Winegardner, Wells Fargo Region President for Utah and Member of USHCC Board of Directors. “Working with small business owners is one of the most important things we do at Wells Fargo, and we are proud of our collaboration with the USHCC to help more Latino-owned businesses achieve financial success, grow and create jobs. Together with the USHCC, this year’s convention will be an inspiring and educational forum for business leaders and entrepreneurs that will further advance Hispanic-owned businesses and strengthen communities across the United States.”

For 11 consecutive years, Wells Fargo has been America’s No. 1 small business lender based on the most recent CRA government data (2002-2012). In May, Wells Fargo set a new five-year goal to extend $100 billion in new small business loans by 2018. The company also introduced Wells Fargo Works for Small BusinessSM, a broad initiative to deliver resources, guidance and services for small business owners.

“We are pleased to have Wells Fargo serve as the corporate chair for our National Convention. After successfully chairing the 2012 convention in Los Angeles, Wells Fargo has proven itself to be the best choice to help orchestrate what promises to be an historic event,” said USHCC Chairman Marc Rodriguez. “Together, the USHCC and Wells Fargo are investing in our nation’s business future by embracing the changing face of America. We are at the cutting edge of this new frontier, and look forward to sharing these success stories and inspiring new ventures at our National Convention – the largest gathering of Hispanic business leaders in America.”
