United States : NEW service added by BNY Mellon

The Bank of New York Mellon Corp. introduced a new market research service to benchmark execution and areas of risk for institutional prime money-market mutual funds.

FundIQ, a third-party marker research and analytic tool, includes 5 broad categories from portfolio and sponsor risk to adviser, shareholder and systemic risk. Through the new service, BNY Mellon (NYSE:BK) clients can match to fund characteristics against peer group averages and assign ratings in numerous risk categories for individual funds or across an entire portfolio of funds.

BNY Mellon, established in New York, is among the biggest financial institutions serving Pittsburgh.

In a prepared statement Jonathan Spirgel, executive vice president and head of Global Collateral Services sales and relationship management at BNY Mellon said, Nearly all financial decisions include an assessment of risk . Beyond fund characteristics and metrics, this tool helps clients make a more informed investment decision with analysis that recognizes and monitors specific risk factors.
