BRIEF: Financial planning workshop set for Aug. 2 at Troke Branch Library

July 25--STOCKTON -- A workshop on financial planning will be presented from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 31, and 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at the Margaret K. Troke Branch Library, 502 W. Benjamin Holt Dr., Stockton.

Whether people are interested in saving for retirement or achieving another financial goal, the workshop will help get started.

No specific products will be endorsed, and no solicitations will be made.

Among the topics: cash flow, liabilities, budgeting, the importance of a cash reserve, investments and investment strategies, taxes and protection planning.

The workshop will look at traditional IRAs, Roth IRAs, 401(k) accounts and other types of retirement plans.

Barbara Moore, who is in her 23rd year as a financial advisor with Ameriprise Financial in Stockton, will present the workshop.
