July 31, 2014

By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Computer Weekly News -- Textura Corporation (NYSE: TXTR), the leading provider of collaboration solutions for the construction industry, and Computer Guidance Corporation, part of the Explorer Software Group of companies, announced that Weis Builders Inc. has implemented eCMS Connect for Textura-CPM™ after its recent upgrade to Computer Guidance's eCMS v.4.0 enterprise resource planning software.

The eCMS Connect for Textura(®)-CPM interface creates a powerful combination of financial tools, providing a seamless flow of data between the eCMS ERP system and Textura's invoicing and payment solution, Textura-Construction Payment Management™ (CPM™).

A longtime CGC client, Weis upgraded its ERP to eCMS v.4.0. last fall to take advantage of new features, which include advanced financial transaction processing, management reporting, as well as enterprise content management and Cognos Business Intelligence & Analytics.

To further improve efficiency in its payment management processes, Weis recently implemented Textura-CPM. Textura's cloud-based solution integrates and streamlines all construction payment management processes, including billing, lien waiver collection, compliance management and payments. By automating processes and facilitating online collaboration, Textura-CPM boosts productivity, reduces the amount of paper involved in managing payments, and improves communication efficiency.

"The connection of eCMS v.4.0 and Textura-CPM will unlock important efficiencies for us across our financial processes," said Cassie Warner, Chief Financial Officer, Weis Builders. "With integrated accounting and payment management processes, we expect to see significant streamlining of manual processes and also to reduce risk related to lien waiver collection and compliance. Subcontractors are our critical business partners and we are always looking for ways to improve our relationship with them. The enhanced communication CPM offers should help us better communicate status and requirements to our Subcontractors to reduce the back and forth that typically goes on in the manual world," said Warner.

Weis, an Engineering News-Record (ENR) Top 400 General Contractor, completes projects nationwide from offices in Minnesota, Illinois and Texas. Weis specializes in multi-unit residential, senior living, hospitality, retail, commercial and healthcare design/build, general contracting and construction management and has many long-time, repeat clients.

"We are pleased that Weis Builders has joined the more than 300 General Contractors who are using Textura-CPM," said Patrick Allin, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Textura Corporation. "ERP software providers like CGC are key partners for us in delivering powerful solutions to address clients' needs. The integration of eCMS and CPM enhances the value of both solutions, and we are pleased to be able to work with CGC to improve outcomes for all construction project participants."

According to Mike Bihlmeier, President at Computer Guidance Corporation, "Commercial contractors in today's business environment need a solid, enterprise-class ERP solution combined with value-added business function specific applications to manage all aspects of their businesses. These leading contractors want the applications to seamlessly work together to avoid duplicate entry and the errors inherent in having multiple systems. eCMS Connect for Textura--CPM is a great example of our advanced integration platform with third-party software applications."
