WASHINGTON, July 23, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) applauds the launch of Small Business Forward, a new program by JPMorgan Chase that will boost small business support networks through a five-year, $30 million grant. Small Business Forward will help small businesses grow, create jobs, and strengthen communities by connecting entrepreneurs to critical resources.
"The USHCC is proud to see JPMorgan Chase make substantial investments in American small business – a critical segment of our economy that is responsible for two-thirds of all new jobs," said USHCC President & CEO Javier Palomarez. "JPMorgan Chase understands that providing resources for our nation's entrepreneurs and small business owners is a fundamental component for economic growth. Our association fully endorses the new Small Business Forward initiative and looks forward to working with our partners at JPMorgan Chase to ensure the program's success."
JPMorgan Chase, the largest bank in the United States, has provided more SBA loans than any other bank in the country. The Small Business Forward initiative, which has also been endorsed by the U.S. Small Business Administration, will fund nonprofit organizations that focus on supporting small businesses operating in a specific industry. The initiative will also provide business owners with a suite of resources, including networking opportunities, research partnerships with universities, workforce training, supply chains, and access to new markets.
"Beyond their vital role in our economy, small businesses are often the source of innovation and inspiration," said Scott Geller, CEO of Chase Business Banking. "Helping local, small business clusters grow faster and create more jobs will take JPMorgan Chase's involvement in the entrepreneurial community to a new level."
