Algeria : MOBILIS introduces mobile internet for taxi companies

Mobilis, a subsidiary of Algerie Telecom announced the introduction of an internet service for taxis, dubbed as "Taxi-connect 3G++".

The service will use the operator's 3G++ network and in-vehicle Wi-Fi routers for passengers to go online during their journey.

The Taxi companies will add an internet access charge to the fare.

The service is being introduced in Algiers before being extended to the other provinces covered by the operator's 3G++ network, said Mobilis CEO Saad Damma.
