Huge demand for Walton handsets

July 22, 2014

Dhaka, July 22 (UNB) The sales of local handset brand 'Walton' have marked a sharp increase at different markets across the country ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Authorities concerned said the Walton mobile phone sets are being sold on a large scale as the local brand has become the first choice to all -- young and the elderly ones.

Akramuzzaman Apu, manager of Bashundhara City Walton Plaza, said they have reduced the prices of Primo X-3, H-3 and GH-2 model handsets so that customers can get those easily. C-3 model handset has also been able to attract the customers, he said.

Meanwhile, Walton has also brought about the slimmest phone set of the world, X-3, which draws a huge response from the customers most, Apu added.

Walton Operative Director Udoy Hakim said the sales of Walton handsets have gone up by 15-20 percent. "Walton holds the second position in the local market in terms of sale."
