Todd Kinney of BDO USA Elected Executive Vice President of ACG New York

-- Newly Created Position Provides Strategic Support for President --

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- BDO USA, LLP, one of the nation's leading professional services organizations, today announced that Todd Kinney, Relationship Director for the firm’s national private equity practice, has been named executive vice president of ACG New York, Inc., a leading New York-based organization serving middle market deal-making professionals.

In this newly created two-year role, Mr. Kinney, 44, will be responsible for working closely with the president to support overall governance and strategic planning for the chapter. The volunteer position was designed to more clearly define a path to the role of president and help to prepare an executive to serve in this capacity. Upon term completion, the president of ACG New York often serves as Chairman of the Board.

Mr. Kinney currently serves as Relationship Director for BDO’s national private equity practice, where he is responsible for implementing the firm’s private equity industry growth strategy, sourcing new clients and industry opportunities and helping to raise visibility of the practice through market development and branding. Joining BDO in 2003, Mr. Kinney previously served as BDO’s northeast regional director of business development, where he focused on business development for the firm's private equity, venture capital, audit and tax practices in the Northeastern United States.

Prior to joining BDO, Mr. Kinney spent a decade as an investment banker on Wall Street with Oppenheimer & Co. Inc., Cowen and Company and SociÉtÉ GÉnÉrale. His banking career included approximately 80 corporate finance transactions with an aggregate deal value in excess of $10 billion.

Mr. Kinney has been involved with ACG New York for a decade and became a member in 2009. He recently served a three-year term on the board of directors, which included a one-year term as vice president of membership. He majored in finance and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at Georgetown University.

ACG New York is the first and largest chapter of The Association for Corporate Growth, an organization that facilitates relationship building and focused education for middle market deal-making professionals. The New York chapter serves over 1,000 members and runs over 70 networking and educational events annually for more than 8,000 professionals. Applications for board positions are all reviewed by the board nominating committee, and candidates are elected by ACG New York’s board of directors.
