Monday's ETF with Unusual Volume: SPLV

The PowerShares S&P 500 Low Volatility Portfolio ETF (SPLV) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Monday, with over 7.7 million shares traded versus three month average volume of about 684,000. Shares of SPLV were down about 0.4% on the day.

Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Monday were General Electric (GE), trading off about 1.9% with over 33.9 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Coca Cola (KO), off about 0.1% on volume of over 9.3 million shares. Motorola Solutions (MSI) is the component faring the best Monday, up by about 0.5% on the day, while BB&T (BBT) is lagging other components of the PowerShares S&P 500 Low Volatility Portfolio ETF, trading lower by about 3.7%.
