Bank Muscat- Meethaq successfully concludes a series of seminars and workshops across the Sultanate in Ramadhan

Release date- 19072014 - Meethaq, the pioneer of Islamic banking in Oman from Bank Muscat, successfully concluded a series of seminars and workshops across the Sultanate in partnership with 'Glory Makers'.

The seminars were held with the aim of enhancing awareness among the society on a number of humanitarian and cultural aspects, and were conducted by renowned professors and lecturers.

The first seminar was held in Salalah titled: 'How to achieve your spiritual goals in Ramadhan' and was delivered by Sheikh Abdullah Al-Shahri. Another lecture was held in Wilayat Al-Buraimi and was given by Khalifa Al-Eiseai. In addition, two seminars were given by Dr. Majdi Obaid, under the title of: 'Life without tension' on Friday, 11 July 2014 and 18 July 2014, and were very well-attended . Many lectures were held across the Sultanate on Fridays of every week in line with the social responsibility initiative adopted by Meethaq Islamic Banking.

Meethaq has adopted the best practices in Islamic banking and finance worldwide to combine a robust model which protects customers and complements the Islamic banking industry. The Meethaq strategy is to attract customers through innovative Shari'a based products and services, and participate in raising awareness and lecturing on various topics of related to self-development, especially in their working field. These lectures and seminars in partnership with 'Glory Makers', are being held throughout the holy month of Ramadhan in different parts of the Sultanate. In addition, Meethaq successfully continues the photography competition on Instagram as well as all programs in different social media channels including competitions and interactive activities.

Bank Muscat is the first commercial bank in Oman to launch an independent Islamic banking window operation. Shari'a based products and services launched by Meethaq Islamic banking, such as Meethaq home financing, saving accounts, and Meethaq car financing have attracted a large numbers of customers. These products offer a wide range of features and facilities given to Meethaq Islamic banking customers. The prime branch of Meethaq in Al-Gubrah is witnessing a steady increase in the number of customers who are availing the banking services and products that are offered by the branch.
