United Kingdom : ALBION VENTURE invests £16 million in 2 elderly residential homes

Venture capital firm, Albion Ventures invested up to 16 million on the development of 2 elderly residential homes.

Berkley Care Group heads operations at both facilities. The care homes create 130 elderly residential places.

The facilities is open to residents in autumn 2015, it is based in Cumnor Hill, Oxford and Hillingdon, Greater London. Construction commences in September 2014.

The deal would deliver attractive value to the funds shareholders as well as providing a needed resource to the local communities.

Since January 2013, the venture capital firm invested in healthcare-related firms Proveca, MyMeds & Me, Cisiv and Aridhia.

Their current and past investments delivered an annual return of over 20%.
