HK H1 IPO Financing to New High Since 2011

HONGKONG, July 2, SinoCast -- There were a total of 48 IPOs in the Hong Kong stock market, including 38 IPOs triggered by companies from the Chinese mainland, and total raised capital hit HKD 81.3 billion, surging 105% and 118% over 22 IPOs with raised capital of HKD 39.7 billion in the same period of a year earlier, according to Deloitte & Touche.

The raised capital hit a new high since 2011 and the number of IPOs created a 10-year high.

Hong Kong is expected to squeeze into the world's top three by IPO financing and currently ranks the fourth place just following the New York, London and Nasdaq stock exchanges. However, Shenzhen and Shanghai bourses have dropped out of the top five.
