BRIEF: Grays Harbor musicians play at state

July 02--Pianist Clara Park and vocalist Karlynn O'Connor performed last week at the state music teachers conference at Eastern Washington State University in Cheney. Both performed in the honors recital for the Grays Harbor Music Teachers Association.

Park played the Prelude from "Pour le Piano" by Claude Debussy. Park's teacher is Ellen Pickell. O'Connor, accompanied by her teacher, Christine Hill, sang "When I Am Laid in Earth" by Purcell.

Park and O'Connor were selected to participate in the recital in a competition and in annual educational adjudications by the local association.
