United States : BARRACUDA helps protect AZURE customers running services on MICROSOFT cloud

To help protect Azure customers running services on the Microsoft cloud, Barracuda has released the latest edition of its Web Application Firewall (WAF).

Azure was also strengthened through the launch by NetApp of its Private Storage product as well as announcements by Equinix and EMC.

Barracuda's (WAF), version 7.9, expands Microsoft Azure support with automated provisioning and configuration, and can be availed in the Azure Gallery as part of the new Microsoft Azure Certified program.

Barracuda said the product was the first combined, 100% scalable security service available on Microsoft Azure.

It added that the service could scale dynamically to fulfill application performance and workload demands.

Senior vice president worldwide sales at Barracuda, Michael Hughes, said : 'Customers today are looking to reduce time and costs associated with bringing applications online. For many of our customers, these applications are their business, meaning they have to be available, secure, and provide a great user experience.'

The firm is listing the software between $4,999 and $61,599.
