Thompson is ranked as the No. 3 prospect in the organization and Moya is No. 20, according to MLB.com. The two had never faced each other before the Futures Game. They also have never played on the same team, but Thompson's promotion to the SeaWolves changed that on Monday.
"I'm glad I came out on top and he didn't get me," Thompson joked about the Futures Game. "But it was really cool. It was fun because we've known each other for almost three years and never had a chance to play with or against him."
