Brazil : BRAZIL's R&D Company completes development of cognitive radio system

CPqD, Brazil based R&D company, has announced the conclusion of the development of a system of cognitive radios.

Through the use of wireless access network technologies, the new system will support expand access to broadband internet in the country.

The new system is the result of a project started in 2010 that had the support of the finance for the Technological Development of Telecommunications (Funttel), the Ministry of Communications and Finep.

The platform for a cognitive mesh router will be established commercially once dynamic spectrum access is regulated in the country.
