Tennesseans Must File Claims by Aug. 1, 2014 in the $310 Million DRAM Price Fixing Settlement

July 17, 2014

NASHVILLE, Tenn., July 17 -- The Tennessee Attorney General issued the following news release:

If you purchased the memory storage component installed in most electronic devices known as Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM), you may be entitled to payments from a $310 million settlement fund. The deadline to file (August 1) is rapidly approaching, Tennessee Attorney General Bob Cooper reminds Tennesseans.

DRAM can be sold individually or preinstalled in computers, graphics cards, video game consoles, MP3 players, printers, PDAs, DVD players and digital video recorders. DRAM is a high density, low cost per bit, memory component that stores digital information and provides high-speed retrieval of data.

The settlement involves DRAM manufacturers over claims of price fixing. Consumers and businesses can file a claim if their purchases were between 1998 and 2002.

Purchasers of large amounts of DRAM or DRAM products could get $1,000s depending on the amount of product purchased. The minimum payment for smaller purchases of DRAM or DRAM products is expected to be $10. But the actual payment amount depends on the total number of claims filed and payments could be $25, $50 or more.

"I would encourage Tennesseans to file a claim to what is rightfully yours," Attorney General Cooper said. "This settlement affects almost every consumer and business in the state who bought computers and other electronic devices from 1998 to 2002."

Claims can be flied online at www.DRAMclaims in five minutes or less. More information about the Settlement is available by: visiting: www.DRAMclaims.com; calling: 1-800-589-1425 (toll-free); or emailing: Info@DRAMclaims.com.
