The broadcast premiere of "Last Tour of the
The one-hour TV documentary takes viewers inside the former El Paso Asarco smelter, an American industrial giant that was shut down in 1999, with never before seen footage of its fiery furnaces in operation.
The special program also goes inside the smelter's towering 828-foot smokestack, a place few people have seen, and no one will ever see again. Both of the smelter's smokestacks were demolished in 2013.
DVDs of the program will be available for donors taking part in the KCOS pledge drive during the showing.
