Savings: Credit cards: Insurance: New this week

Kent Reliance, part of OneSavings Bank, has launched a range of new products including several high-paying savings accounts. These include a two-year flexible fixed-rate Nisa paying 2.10% on balances of more than pounds 1,000. There is also an easy access cash Nisa paying 1.55% on balances above pounds 1,000, or 1.35% on lower sums. A 60-day notice Nisa is paying 1.6% - and the accounts accept transfers in from other providers.

Lloyds and Bank of Scotland have launched a 0% credit card offering a 28-month interest-free period on balance transfers, and 12 months interest-free on new purchases. Those signing up get a low 1.5% transfer fee on balances moved within the first 90 days of opening the account - after which the fee rises to 3%. To keep promotional rates customers must cover at least the minimum payment each month.


Nationwide is offering main current account customers who buy combined buildings and contents cover a pounds 50 Amazon voucher. The offer, which runs until 20 September, is available to main current account holders getting a quote. It comes with the 30% discount offered when taking out a combined home insurance policy. Nationwide offers two types of home and contents insurance - standard and Essentials.
