BRIEF: Skagit River GI study comment period extended

July 18--The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers extended the public comment period for the draft Feasibility Report and Environmental Impact Statement for the Skagit River Flood Risk Management General Investigation study.

Th e d o c u m e n t w a s released and opened for comment under the National Environmental Policy Act on June 6. The comment period was set to close Monday, July 21, but the corps received requests for an extension and granted it through Tuesday, Aug. 5.

The document is available at 1.usa.gov/1i0Kjzk, at the Mount Vernon, La Conner and Burlington public libraries, and at Skagit County offices.
