Singapore : VINE intros Port Meadow Fund with DYMON ASIA CAPITAL

July 17, 2014

Asia-focused equity long/short hedge fund has been introduced by SAC Capital Advisors' vet Carl Vine, with $226 million.

The Cayman-based Port Meadow Fund has been brought in by Vine, who worked in SAC's London office, with Singapore-based Dymon Asia Capital.

It is expected that the hedge fund would launch with $150 million in assets from both Dymon and Port Meadow's partners, comprising Li Shen, David Perrett and David Tuthill.

Dymon President Jay Luo added, the fund has "effectively soft closed already," although they are still targeting US$500 million with the remaining commitment to come in the next two to three months.

Vine would be working as chief investment officer of the new firm.
